SALES REPRESENTATIVE

EBM Manufacturing is an industry leader in the production of bulk handling agri-industrial equipment and custom screening technology. We are presently seeking a full time Sales Representative.

General Summary of the Position:

This position will focus on outside sales for multiple revenue streams within EBM Corporations. This position will be based out of Norfolk NE and must be willing and will have the ability to travel up to 35% of the time. Most travel is within a day trip of Norfolk NE and does not require overnight stay.

Responsibilities for sales and quoting functions for several revenue streams to include custom manufactured parts and catalog parts sales. This position will follow up on leads, generating new leads, maintaining current customer relationships, and help to bring in new business, all while promoting our product and business.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the sales team to develop a sales strategy to meet company goals and execute the strategy efficiently and effectively
  • Meet with current customers to maintain a great working relationship
  • Work with customers on projects.
  • Work with our customers on solving their problems or obstacles.
  • Identify potential customers, and customer acquisition
  • Work with all companies under EBM to identify sales strategy and support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be self-motivated and self-driven
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent professional written communication skills
  • Knowledge of how to sell, maintain customer relationships and aquire new customers
  • Be willing to learn the feed and grain market and industrial manufacturing market.
  • Excellent communication skills – reading/writing/verbal English for efficiency.
  • Proficient computer and software knowledge, including iPad technology, Outlook, Excel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience: 

  • College Degree or five or more years of previous work-related experience in sales

Work Context:

  • Majority of time spent working with customers on solving their problems and coordinating efforts with each EBM company to solve their problems.
  • Requires regular contact with general manager, administration, co-workers, vendors, and customers either face-to-face, telephone, e-mail, text, etc.
  • Wear common protective or safety equipment as required by the job such as safety harness, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Requires good stress tolerance and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.

Special Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass pre-employment work-style survey, PPPO, General Physical and Drug Screen.
  • Must be 18 year’s old or older.
